The Quinta Essentia ensemble was founded in 2020 with the idea of bringing together young, representative musicians specialized in historically informed performance. Through its very name, the ensemble points to its core artistic concept—the search for the deepest, most refined, and essential substance of music. They represent a new generation of artists who, through their knowledge, years of education, and acquired experience, strive to further expand and share the rich European tradition of early music—a tradition that already exists in Croatia, yet still yearns for new achievements. The ensemble gave its debut performance at the Korkyra Baroque Festival in Korčula, and their notable appearances also include the 2025 Dubrovnik Summer Festival.
