The Quinta Essentia ensemble was founded in 2020 with the idea of ​​gathering young and representative musicians specializing in the so-called historically aware performance. With its name, the ensemble refers to its fundamental artistic idea – the search for the deepest, most purified essential substance of music. It is a new generation of artists who, with their knowledge, many years of education and acquired experience, want to further expand and share the strong European tradition of early music – a tradition that already exists in Croatia, but still cries out for new achievements. The ensemble had its first performance at the Korčula Baroque Festival Korkyra , and among the most significant ones is the one at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in 2025.
