Bass-baritone Krešimir Stražanac is one of the leading Croatian artists with numerous international successes. These include his debut with the Berlin Philharmonic and Kirill Petrenko in 2023 at concerts in Berlin, Madrid and Barcelona (the recording of the European Concert from the Sagrada Familia basilica was broadcast by many world media outlets). He is particularly distinguished by his performances of rarely performed operas, including the title roles in the premieres of G. Ph. Telemenno 's Orfeo in Amsterdam and Barcelona, and F. Caccini 's Oslobodjenje Ruggiero in Vienna's Theater an der Wien, where he also interpreted the Devil in J. Weinberger's opera Švanda, bagpiper . His recordings can be found on more than 20 albums, and he released his first solo album of lieds in 2024 for Hänssler Classic, with pianist Krešimir Starčević. This double CD is the first studio recording of the songs of the Croatian composer Blagoje Bersa. The album was nominated for four Porin awards , and won it in the category of best production.
Danijel Detoni began his musical education in Zagreb in the class of Olga Detiček at the Vatroslav Lisinski Music School, and continued in the classes of László Baranyay and Balázs Kecskés at the Liszt Ferenc University of Music in Budapest and Itamar Golan at the Paris Conservatory. He also gained his knowledge by working with renowned artists. As a soloist and chamber musician, he has performed at prestigious festivals. He has collaborated with artists such as Katarina Livljanić (as a member of the Dialogos ensemble), Radovan Vlatković, Ivana Lazar, Kajana Pačko, Boris Brovtsyn, Itamar Golan, Gábor Boldoczki, Krešimir Stražanac, Irvin Venyš, Boris Andrianov, David Aaron Carpenter, Enrico Dindo, and ensembles such as the Zagreb Saxophone Quartet, Budapest Strings, UMZE Chamber Orchestra, Dušan Skovran Chamber Orchestra, etc.
Born in Split, Kajana Pačko enrolled in cello studies at the Zagreb Academy of Music at the age of fourteen in the class of Prof. Valter Dešpalj. She continued her education in Berlin with Prof. Troels Svane and Frans Helmerson at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule and at the Salzburg Mozarteum in the class of Prof. Clemens Hagen. As a versatile musician, in addition to solo performances, she cultivates chamber music, pedagogical work, collaboration with composers, organization of festivals and charity concerts, and creation of new programs. Since 2021, she has been the artistic director of the ZAGREBplus festival of the Croatian Music Institute and has initiated several charity concerts for the restoration of the Croatian Music Institute and the children of Ukraine. She is a member of the Gewandhaus Orchestra in the 2024/2025 season. She plays the l'école de Pique cello made in Paris in 1800.
