ABOUT THE ARTIST

Within the association Croatian Music Centre, which was founded in 2003, since 2013 on the Croatian and international music scene there is a professional ensemble Projekt Lazarus , whose unusual name hides the main goal of this ensemble 's activities – the revitalization of Croatian musical heritage. The ensemble is specifically focused on presenting works that have not seen the light of day in modern history or are rarely performed, as well as those with a rare audio or video recording. In an effort to seize from oblivion the monuments of Croatian musical heritage, the musicians of the Lazarus Project perform works of late Renaissance, Baroque, but also modern, Croatian composers whose legacy is high-value and unique artistic achievements. The ensemble, led by Franjo Bilić, includes Daniel Peros (soprano), Nikolina Virgej Pintar (alto), Josip Čajko (tenor), Robert Palić (bass), Silvio Richter and Ivan Jakšeković (violins) and Dubravko Čepulić Polgar (organ).
